Section 2.2 covers word problems that involve
percents and descriptions of numerical relationships. Section 2.3
shows you how to solve for one variable if there are several in the
equation. It also introduces the Pythagorean Theorem.
Section 2.4 discusses word problems that involves mixtures and the
equation "distance = rate x time". In 2.5, you find out how to
solve and graph linear inequalities in one variable on the number
line. Section 2.6 shows you what to do if you have two or more
inequalities connected with "and" or "or".
